I'm a housewife and home user, not a pro user. They seem to value having satisfied customers and I've been very happy with the service I've received.įirstly, this is the first recipe software that I've had the pleasure to try. When I've had a question and need customer service, they have been quick to respond and eager to help. I can go online and find 4 or 5 versions of a recipe that I want to try, "capture" them, which automatically enters them into the program, then compare, try and save the one I like the best. However, if you do have to re-enter, this program is quick and flexible. My other program was so old that this new program couldn't automatically convert the recipes, but most newer programs will convert and save all the entering time. It downloaded with no problem, came with a quick video of all of its features and I was entering my recipes and organizing them the way I like in no time. My husband bought me Cook'n for a Christmas gift and I was afraid I would never use it. I have been using an archaic program from the early 90's because I can't find a new one that is as easy and contains all the features I like. I love the way Cook’n can be personalized this way. For example, tonight I wanted to make Mexican so I went to my cookbook named Tex-MeX and then to the chapter for Beef Casseroles. This way I don’t have to search every Cookbook, but can look in a specific cookbook for what I want to make. I have also arranged all of my recipes into Cookbooks for “Appetizers”, “Asian”, “Beverages”. I made a few changes which I noted in the recipe for the next time I make it. Tonight I made Kraft’s Layered Fiesta Casserole. Now I will often try a couple of new recipes in a week. I felt like I was in a rut making the same things over and over again. Except for the Betty Crocker Cookbook and the Better Homes and Gardens Cookbook I got when I was first married 48 years ago. Since I got Cook’n I’ve gone through almost all of them and put recipes that I think I might like to try into Cook’n. I had so many cookbooks, but no time to search through them to look for new recipes. I absolutely love this program and don’t know what I would do without it.
